We are seeking a bright and enthusiastic articling Student to join our team starting in September 2020. Our firm is an approved CPA training office, with both Audit and ACT paths available. You will have a strong academic record, and find accounting intuitive. We are looking for a student to who ideally has ties to Vancouver Island, though this is not necessary. We are looking for an individual to grow into a long-term career with us, and would like for Campbell River and the surrounding area to become your home (if it is not already).
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients and staff in a team environment. In addition, they will exhibit the following:
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and an aptitude for detail
- Ability to exercise professional judgment and decision-making
- Must have good command of the English language, oral and written
As an articling student you will be exposed to a wide variety of tax, accounting, assurance, and advisory work. Our goal is to support your growth into a well-rounded public practice CPA.
- Undergraduate degree from a post-secondary institution recognized by the CPABC
- Completion of CPA Prerequisite Education Program or equivalent
Compensation and benefits are at or above market rates and are negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Moeller Matthews will support all CPA module and CFE requirements; financially, and by providing the required time off for study leave. Benefits include:
